Meet the Team

Dr. Konstantin Cigularov, PhD

Research Lab Director

I am an Associate Professor of Industrial-Organizational Psychology at Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Virginia. I am also the Director of the Leadership and Employee Assessment and Development (LEAD) lab. In my work, I am passionate about collaborating with students and research/industry partners to investigate various organizational and occupational health issues related to (in)effective leadership and +/- workplace cultures, training needs assessment, development, and evaluation, employee stress, burnout and engagement, and employee safety and wellbeing. My scholarly work has been funded by the National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health, National Science Foundation, and Office of Naval Research, and includes 30+ journal articles, 4 book chapters, and 100+ conference presentations. I work with organizations in different industries (healthcare, construction, education, government, etc.) to create and promote healthier, safer, and more fulfilling and productive workplaces. I tremendously enjoy teaching undergraduate Industrial-Organizational Psychology courses and doctoral level courses in Organizational Leadership, Human Resource Development, Organizational Needs Assessment, and Occupational Health psychology. Outside work, I am a huge fan of my family, sports, and rock music.
